To help families through lockdown and social distancing, new articles on Parent Info tackle some of the key issues they are experiencing, including:

Separated parents managing arrangements to see their child
Supporting teens to cope with lockdown
Looking after their mental health while stuck indoors
Starting difficult conversations about COVID-19 with your child

Attendance

Penhale Infant School is continually focusing on attendance and punctuality and would like to remind you that we expect children’s attendance to be at least 96%- this is in line with what the Government expects from all schools.

Thank you very much to those families who have been working hard to ensure children’s attendance and punctuality is high- these are important habits to establish in your children’s lives and will make a difference in their future.

There is a definite link between achievement and attendance and therefore it is very important that your child attends school every day unless there are exceptional circumstances.

If your child accumulates 10 or more unauthorised absences or lates, a referral will be sent to the school attendance team for irregular attendance and could result in a fixed penalty notice.
